Poetry in the Palm of Her Hand
Marlies Huybs creates contemplative objects that allow ceramics to speak their own tangible language. Forms, nuances and materials intertwine to tell stories in which softness and sensitivity can be felt.
Her works leave the studio not as finished objects, but as invitations to interact and experience. It is only when a work finds its place with someone that it truly comes to life. These objects invite touch, encourage a slower pace and evoke a sense of stillness, leaving room for personal experience and individual meaning. (words by Barbara Wesoly)
